Even though I’m 37, been a Christian my whole life, and should know better, I still want what I want (and I want it now!). When my kids disobey me, I still get upset. When my kids interrupt me when I’m doing something I think is important, I still get frustrated. I’m their dad, I think, they ought to obey me! Why aren’t they obeying me? I think I’m somehow entitled to their perfect obedience at all times, and I certainly don’t remember acting like that when I was a kid! Of course, this is just my ugly sin nature shining through.
