My mom's favorite saying..."Oh, you'll be fine!" Used for everything from a little cold to road rash w/busted teeth to a horse falling on me. And she was usually right. Usually. Lol
Hey! you have to be old to remember this. Mom driving the bench seat car, no seat belts, no head rest. Pre schoolers loose and fighting in back seat. Mom swings arm over seat back to smack whoever and threatens to put them out of the car if they don't quit pdq. Talk about 'distracted driving'!
And this is how kids learn new things. 5 point harness rear facing safety seats teach kids nothing at all. That's why kids today are stupid, they haven't learned to fall out of trucks & survive the impact & road rash. Road rash builds strength of character!!!

Road rash. I never fell out of the back of the truck, but I've sure bounced around in one. In the summertime, all the kids rode in the back.

And the "seat belt" was Mom throwing out her right arm across me when she hit the brakes. Most of us survived.

I love this bonus panel, because it is soo true. When I grew up my dad had a truck with a flatbed so we usually used tow straps to hold on.........
